Park Professor (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect in the Park Professor mobile app (“App”), why we collect it, and your choices.

1) Information We Collect

• Device & App Info — device model, OS version, language/region, app version.
• Identifiers — an app-generated install ID and your push notification token so we can deliver alerts.
• Preferences — ride/show alert selections, in-app settings (e.g., thresholds, favorites).
• Location — with your permission, we use device location for park/land proximity features and time-sensitive tips. Location is used for functionality and not for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Usage & Diagnostics — basic analytics, crash reports, and server logs (which may include IP address and timestamp) to keep the service reliable and secure.

2) How We Use Data

• Provide core features (alerts, wait-time grades, coursework proximity checks, Live Activities).
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
• Improve performance and plan new features.

No tracking We do not track you across other apps or websites and we do not sell personal data.

3) Payments & Accounts

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details. Game Center features are provided by Apple when you choose to sign in.

4) Third-Party Services

We use reputable providers to run the service. Their privacy practices apply when they process your data:

• Apple (App Store, Push Notifications, Game Center)
• Firebase / Google Cloud (messaging, diagnostics)
• MongoDB Atlas (database hosting)
• Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection on our website contact form)

5) Data Sharing

We don’t sell your data. We share only as needed with processors listed above, to comply with law, or to protect users and our services.

6) Data Retention

• Push tokens and alert preferences: kept while your app remains active; stale tokens may be purged periodically.
• Server logs/diagnostics: retained for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

7) Your Choices

• Manage location and notifications in iOS Settings.
• Disable specific alerts in the app at any time.
• Request access or deletion by emailing [email protected].

8) Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. In some regions, additional protections may apply up to age 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9) Security

We use TLS to protect data in transit and encrypted storage where appropriate. Access to systems is restricted to authorized personnel with a need to know.

10) International Users

Your information may be processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11) Your Rights (GDPR/UK/CCPA)

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to opt out of sale/share of personal information (we do not sell). Contact us to exercise these rights.
